ABOUT GCES

Grayson County has a strong heritage of citizens serving their community.  This tradition is readily demonstrated in the emergency service organizations providing fire, rescue, and many other services to our citizens.

Primarily made up of volunteers, the nine agencies providing our emergency services are also our friends and neighbors.  They live and work in our communities and give freely of their time and experience to proudly serve our citizens.

This proud tradition of service is at risk, and you can help.  The number of citizens volunteering to serve in our emergency service organizations is decreasing every year.  We need your help!

Please consider how you can offer your own time and service in meeting this critical but rewarding challenge.  Click on the link below to let us know what your interests are so we can connect you with the agency that is the best fit for you!  Remember that there is a role for everyone!
